I added my portfolio on my website during my professional life as an educational technologist.
I had several reasons to do this:

  • to practice and to learn about to build an e-portfolio
  • to share the knowledge and experience about e-portfolios
  • to provide insight in some of my competences

The applications and the experiences in this portfolio are related to Higher Education, because that was my major work area.
The structure is based on an older portfolio model of the Amsterdam Faculty of Education. The instrument was meant for students.

I would research whether such a structure could be an useful instrument for people with much work experience.
A portfolio is a "growing" document and will never be complete. Experiencing, constructing products and developing yourself is a continuing process that never will be to an end.
